Associate Membership

The Cybersecurity and AI Advisory Council brings together organizations and professionals to promote responsible secure and ethical adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity frameworks.

**Associate Membership- is designed for entities or individuals seeking recognition collaboration and professional engagement in AI governance compliance and cyber risk management — without yet holding full accreditation or voting privileges.

- Foster collaboration between public private and academic sectors.
- Encourage capacity building in cybersecurity and AI governance.
- Promote adoption of global standards (ISO 27001 ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF etc.).
- Provide access to policy development forums training and research networks.
- Serve as a stepping stone to Full or Accredited Membership.

Membership Eligibility

ORGANIZATIONAL APPLICANTS :

- Registered company government agency or academic institution.
- Demonstrated involvement in businesses and keen to deploying AI and Cybersecurity for business progession.
- Minimum one year of operational history in the relevant sector.
- Commitment to adhere to Council’s Code of Ethics and Data Governance Charter.
- Submission of AI/Cyber policy compliance or research portfolio.

INDIVIDUAL APPLICANTS :

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Cybersecurity or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in AI systems, risk management or digital governance.
- Willingness to participate in council projects events or advisory groups.
- Agreement to uphold Responsible AI and Cyber Conduct Standards.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS :

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES :

Associate (Individual) : Professional-level membership recognizing early contribution in AI/Cyber field. Open to practitioners researchers or consultants
Associate (Institutional) : Organization-level membership recognizing emerging AI/Cyber programs. Open to startups, universities and SMEs
Affiliate Partner : Strategic collaborator without formal voting rights. Open to NGOs, think tanks or allied councils.

APPLICATION & ACCREDITATION STEPS :

Step 1: Application Submission : Fill out membership form and upload supporting documents (license profile portfolio).
Step 2: Preliminary Review : Council Secretariat reviews completeness and relevance of submission.
Step 3: Self-Assessment : Applicant completes checklist on compliance governance and ethical readiness (below).
Step 4: Interview / Review Panel : Optional technical or ethical panel review for alignment with council standards.
Step 5: Confirmation & Fee Payment : Upon approval membership fee (if applicable) processed and certificate issued.
Step 6: Annual Renewal / Upgrade : Annual update submission required; eligible for upgrade to Full Membership after 12 months.

RENEWAL & PROGRESSION :

Associate Membership Validity : 1 year (renewable).
Renewal : Renewal requires submission of updated compliance checklist and activity report.
Eligibility for Accredited Membership : Eligible for Full or Accredited Membership after demonstrating active participation and governance maturity.
